Taste of Chicago

I’m not a fan of Taste of Chicago. I have just been there twice. According to my experiences, Taste of Chicago didn’t worth visiting. The first time I went it was hot, humid, and crowded. I couldn’t even find a spot to sit under the trees, and it was too crowded to buy a famous cooked turkey leg. The result was we just stayed a half hour then went home. The second time I went there was a weekday morning after it rained last night. It wasn’t crowded, but it was wet and cold. My children didn’t like to stay, even though they looked forward to have a ride. Thus, we went home after my children rode a ride with my persuasion. We didn’t have a chance to taste the food. In fact, there were a lot of unhealthy fried or grill foods in Taste of Chicago, and they cost too much, too. If you have never been there, you could visit it. However, you might be disappointed in it.

Family-The Most Part That I Especially Attached

Family always is in the first place for Chinese people. In China, there is an honor for those who have a big, more generations and united family. At the same time, family is the motivation for people to work hard. There are so many different last (family) names in China. Usually, when two or more strangers talk together freely, the first thing they start is "What is your last name?" If they find out they have the same last name, they say maybe they have the same ancestors many years ago. Then they feel more familiar and friendly. These contribute to people's friendship and communication. In addition, all Chinese people respect their ancestors and thank their ancestors for giving them the root of a family. In the past, in order to defend the beasts or to endure a disaster, many people bulit a house to live together. Those people and their generations developed a family. This kind of relationship last one by one generations. Nowadays, the society development in China can't allow a big family to live together, but every holiday, most family members like to go back to their primary home to celebrate. I believe that the Chinese family culture influences a lot of people, and we will last it for long time.
